Local events in 2008
  Dartmouth Music Festival 14 – 18 May  
    This has become a major annual event with live music of every taste and flavour taking place in just about every possible indoor venue in Dartmouth – as well as in the squares, gardens and along the quayside. Visitors arrive from all over the world, but our berth-holders have a splendid base for enjoying the carnival atmosphere over that long weekend.  
 

 
  Shakespeare Week 5 – 9 August  
    Once again the acclaimed Inn Theatre Company will be staging an open-air performance of one of Shakespeare’s plays at Dartmouth Castle. In 2008 it will be The Tempest, a play of particular interest to any that venture on the high seas! We can be confident that a superb production will take every advantage of the magnificent battlement setting.  
 

 
  Kingswear Regatta 9 – 10 August  
    Rowing events, stalls, fun and food centred around Waterhead Creek, just to the North of Darthaven Marina.  
  164th Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta  
    Dinghy events above Dittisham 24 – 27 August  
    Yacht racing in Start Bay 28 – 31 Aug  
   
Darthaven Marina is a sponsor
of the sailing element of the
Regatta (there is also a full
programme of rowing
races). We make
special arrangements
that week to provide
berthing for large
numbers of yachts
visiting to
compete. Our
permanent
berth holders have an ideal base for participating or spectating – including a splendid vantage point for the popular Red Arrows flying display.		  
 

 
  Dartmouth Food Festival 9 – 12 October  
    Local produce can be sampled from the many stalls operating, with special menus offered by many Dartmouth restaurants.
